Tenders for the upgrade are invited up to Friday, March 9 at 4pm.
Narromine Shire Council general manager Jane Redden said “the call for tenders is an exciting step forward for the Narromine Shire Community”.
“The upgrade will improve traffic flow within the Aerodrome, for the clubs associated and during high visitation times,” she said.
The Aerodrome is one of the most significant recreation and tourist facilities in the shire, hosting a number of international and national events and is the new location for the Visitors Information Centre.
The upgrade to Tom Perry Drive will allow further accessibility for visitors and locals alike with works including: widening of the road; kerb and guttering, and; storm water capture system.
