Level 2 Water Restrictions, in accordance with the ‘odds and evens’ scheme for the town of Narromine only remain in force until further notice.
The ‘odds and even’ scheme is in regards to your house number and the date enabling residents to water every 2 days. If your house number is an even number, you can water on even dates, i.e. 2nd, 4th, 6th of the month. If your house number is odd, you can water on the odd dates, i.e. 1st, 3rd, 5th of the month.
Narromine Shire Council’s General Manager, Jane Redden has called on the community to support the current restrictions to assist in continuing to reduce the overall water use.
“While the cooler weather has assisted in reducing overall water consumption in Narromine, it is important that the community still adhere to the Level 2 Water Restrictions in place.”
“With planned work to commence on the Duffy Street Water Tower shortly it is important that residents remain aware of water usage.”
“The restrictions could be in place until after the scheduled work is complete to ensure there is ample treated water available for Narromine residents,” she said.
