The windy weather didn’t stop the acknowledgement of athletes and their efforts for the season.
President Fiona Walker extended a big congratulations to all athletes and trophy winners for the season.
This year the club saw three athletes compete at the State Track and Field championships in Sydney. Aiden Butcher, Jossie Ward and Zac Harding. All three athletes did very well with a total of five medals won.
This season saw the following athletes recognised for outstanding contribution to the sport:
- Scotty Crowther Award for athlete of the Year awarded to Matilda Irvine.
- Fran Barnes Sportsmanship Award to Callum Jacobson
- Most improved Junior Athlete was awarded to Amarni Hardisty and Senior Athlete was Zachary Everett.
- Aiden Butcher was presented with a Chair recognising his continued registration from U6s to U17s at Narromine Little Athletics as well as a keyring for representing the club for 9 years at State Athletics.
- Zac Harding was presented with a set of towels as a 2nd year representative at State and Jossie Ward received a gym bag as a first-year representative.
“A special thankyou to all our parent helpers and especially our Age Mangers who have lead each age group this season,” said Ms Walker.
Narromine Little Athletics are holding their AGM on Wednesday, May 9 at 6.30pm at the USMC, all are welcome.
