Narromine stock and station agent Jason Hartin from Hartin Schute Bell said it was a tough market under the dry conditions.
“This month there it was a light yarding, under dry conditions,” Mr Hartin said.
The sale saw just 500 sheep yarded, a significant drop from last month.
“This was cheaper than last month because of a lighter yarding and tougher conditions once again,” Mr Harding said.
First-cross ewes topped at $100 and store lambs made $90.
However merino-ewes scanned in-lamb to Border Leicester made up to $108.
Mr Hartin is hopeful that conditions will change shortly.
“With the anticipation of rain hopefully next month will see bigger numbers and higher prices,” he said.
“I’m currently leaving Orange there’s a beautiful storm cloud behind me, I just hope it keeps coming.”
Mr Hartin said that with the prediction of rain he believes there will be more numbers and a better market in May.
