The ball was a great success, with 165 tickets sold. We were lucky enough to have Tony Hutton travel from Newcastle to attend. He was the Jets first grade captain coach from 2000 - 2002. Also in attendance were some of the Jets premiership winning side of 1968. They included Pud Gillespie, Nudda Hutchison, Ross Cale, Pom Harding, Charlie Burrows and Mal Dawes. The League tag girls took out the trophy for best performance of the night with their act, “This Is Burlesque”.

As you maybe aware the first Grade game against Wellington ended early due to Jet Chris Wilcox being injured. We are happy to advise that whilst Chris has a long road to recovery he is doing well. We thank the Wellington Cowboys for their assistance yesterday. All the best Chris, wishing you a speedy recovery
