“In recent months, the Narromine Cancer Support Group has received incredible support from the local community. We have been busy attending golf days, changeover dinners, a football club auction, a gala day and a quiz night,” Ms Barlow said.
“We would like to express our sincere thanks to the Sharpe family, the three Bruces (Bruce Wright, Bruce Coffee and Bruce McLean), the Mungery Ladies (Jenny Newbigging, Loosie Gill, Pat Hartin and all their helpers), the Lions Club, the Rotary Club, the Narromine Jets, the Mudyigalang Ladies and Agriland.”

“In addition, several of our local cotton growers have donated butts which will be ginned and the proceeds given to the Narromine Cancer Support Group along with some of our sheep farmers who have donated animals to Fletcher's Sheep Drive where the animals are bought and the proceeds donated to our group.”
There are also pending donations from the Bogan Bash Hosts and the Regional Australia Bank. She went on to say that many local businesses have been more than generous with support for their open garden raffle, which will be drawn on October 14 during the Narromine Shire open garden day.

“All the money raised and donated stays in the Shire to help local people who receive a cancer diagnosis and have to leave home for treatment whether it be to Dubbo or further afield which is often the case,” Ms Barlow said.
“Each year we need approximately $40,000 to keep the one off gift program going which is no mean feat so our sincere gratitude to these wonderful donors.”
“We live in a very caring community.”
