Club President Jo Milgate said it was a “wonderful” weekend boasting a number of events for riders.
This year riders participated in two rounds of showjumping, a dressage test, riding classes, sporting events and for the first time a Stockman’s dressage.

“They did a Stockman’s dressage which was a first, we haven’t run that event before, and actually no one else in this area has ever done that,” Ms Milgate said.
“It is just a little bit different to normal dressage, like backing your horse up and doing side passes and just going over a few obstacles though the test itself.”
“So that was a very new thing for all of the kids, which was very well received and all the kids enjoyed it,” she said.
Ms Milgate said this year she was impressed with the great display of sportsmanship.
“Any child that grows up having the opportunity to ride a horse are always so friendly, polite, well behaved and they’re just genuinely lovely kids.”
“The behaviour and sportsmanship is always so wonderful to see.”
“It’s all just fun, games and getting out there and having some time in the sadddle. Its really good to see.”
“I want to thank the people that support us because without them we wouldn’t be able to run the event,”
Ms Milgate thanked sponsors, the commitee, parents of the club and judges who she said have been “very generous” to the club who support and volunteer their time for the event.
“The community of Trangie are always so supportive of events that kids from the town are involved in, so we are from a very supportive and lucky community,” Ms Milgate said.
“A big thank you to Kings hall jewellers, Horseland Dubbo, Mitavite, Dubbo Pet and Stock feeds, Mark Gleeson Constructions Trangie, Delta Trangie, Milgates Trangie Transport, Paul Milgate Transport, Elders Trangie, Trangie Newsagency and Three Rivers Machinery in Warren.”
“A special thank you to the judges who come and volunteer their time … its always really nice to have people to volunteer their time for the events.”
