But a convoy of 23 trucks, carrying 1200 tonnes of hay from across the desert, isn’t bad either.
The Land’s Rachael Webb was on the ground out in the bush this morning to catch the Rapid Relief Team complete its 3500km hay delivery from Western Australia.
The convoy was lead by Gnowangerup farmer and Commodity Ag chief executive Alan Richardson, with the hay to be distributed to more than 200 farmers around Condobolin, Tullamore, Tottenham, Nymagee and Lake Cargelligo.
Thetrucks were hired by RRT, with most at discount prices from companies such as Jolly and Sons, Dalwallinu Haulage, Watsons Express Transport, Duraquip, Dallcon, Centurion and Stevemacs.
