At about 6am on Saturday August 25, Police allege four males approached a property on Weemabah road in a Nissan utility bearing no registration plates and stole a security camera.
It is believed staff were alerted and chased after the vehicle.
During the pursuit the SD card was removed and thrown from the window of the moving vehicle. The camera was later thrown from the vehicle and recovered as an exhibit.
Police were called and stopped the vehicle in Dandaloo street in Trangie.
As the vehicle was searched a number of knives were located under the drivers seat.
The 18-year-old driver was charged with not displaying registration plates, custody of a knife and was wanted on other matters and arrested.
One of the males was also charged with entering enclosed lands.
All four males were released on strict conditional bail, which includes reporting to police and not associating with any of the co-accused persons.
All four will face court appearances at Narromine Local Court in September and October.
Narromine Police Sergeant Michael Smith is reminding the community of the importance of calling triple zero (000) when a crime is in progress.
“I thank all the members of the Trangie community who assisted in the apprehension of these offenders, but ask that people exercise caution and don’t place themselves or others in unnecessary danger trying to apprehend crime suspects,” Sergeant Smith said.
Narromine Police Sector and Orana Mid-Western Rural Crime Investigators will continue to target those involved in rural related crime in the Narromine Shire.
Anyone wishing to report incidents or provide information is encouraged to contact their nearest Police Station or Crimestoppers 1800 333 000.
