Bev thought she had won the longest drive in her division till the last group following cruelly relieved her of that delight.
However Bev had the thrill of sinking a very long putt on their recalcitrant grass greens.
Vicki and Wendy won a ball each in ball raffle.

Men’s Golf
Over the weekend the Golf Club hosted the NSW Veterans four BBB Championships with golfers from all round the state participating. As such there was no golfers to play in a local comp on Saturday but six players turned up on Sunday for a game.
Dudley Alcorn and Glen Monaghan had 62 ½ to win the two person Ambrose sponsored by the Club from Kale Bock and Daniel Coen with 64.

Bowling
This weeks column will be brief unfortunately due to being on foreign equipment, but here is the Joe Friday version of what happened last week up at the Bowly.
The Charity day on Saturday was a huge success with some 50 odd players on the green and many more inside the clubhouse. A big congratulations and thank you to all involved.
Social bowls results
Thursday afternoon saw 30 bowlers take to the green with Peter Wilson, Col Hume and Jeff Schloeffel a top the podium at days end. In second spot were the trio of Fred Edwards, Bob Davis and David McNair.
The Jackpot has now grown to a record high and hopefully with the warmer weather should encourage more to have a go next Thursday.
Sunday morning's chook run attracted some 16 keen soldiers, with Bill Wilkie and Danny Carnevale getting the lions share of the loot on offer.
The runners up cheque went to Peter Kelly, Bob Ashdown and Steve Buttsworth.
Nominations for the Club Triples close this Saturday and to date are pretty good, but there is always room for more teams. So if your a mind to play in this event best nominate this week to avoid missing out.
This Saturday sees the time honoured FINO Day, and unfortunately the same can not be said about the numbers nominated to date, so again if your a mind to play in this event best wonder up to the old notice board sooner rather than later.
One thing that has cropped up about this day is what is the dress code.
Well folks this day has always been played in creams or club uniform, so thats what it is this weekend.
Also this Saturday the Narromine Fire brigade troops will be doing the Saturday night raffle in aid of their team who are entering the Annual Tower Climb event in Sydney later this year.

Gerries golf
There were 12 starters on the arvo of 12th, and it was Ross Fraser’s turn in the winner’s circle, returning a Stableford score of 25 points, beating Brian Masling on a count-back, also on 25 points.
Chris Harding who seems to be on the green in the NTP’s, this time didn’t get the trophy taken from him, and won three Srixons for his effort.
There was no NAGA this week because of the number cut-off…well done Ross.
The first prelim game of pool had Chris Harding and Gus smith against Ross King and Greg Keirins, to have Gussy and the Pom win to secure a place in the final.
The second prelim had Tiger Berryman and Bob Fletcher against Mal Richardson ( fresh from his holiday, so he would be hot) and Terry Willis, remarkably, Terry and Mal managed to win to meet Pom and Gus in the final.
This was a game with many facets, resulting in Mal and Terry cleaning up to be champs for the week…our last Wednesday game will be the October 31.
Then straight into Saturday, November 3 for the summer season, as usual, the ladies will be playing in the summer games at the starting time of 9am. Next week back nine, and this time with some scorecards…hahahaha… fun.
