A number of services were present on the day and a range of activities were available including a cake competition, jumping castle, face painting, friendship farm, free barbecue lunch, performances by local kids, weaving, story telling, footy and craft.
NAIDOC (The National Aboriginal and Islander Day Observance Committee) Week is an annual celebration of the histories, rich cultures, outstanding achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
This year’s theme ‘Becasue of her, we can’ celebrates the invaluable and ongoing contributions of Indigenous women.
