Residents will have a chance to visit the tranquil garden at George Mack’s ‘Bokhara’ property in the Narromine Shire open garden day. Located at 43 Nymagee Street in Narromine the garden is one of the ten properties people can visit on Sunday, October 14.

Mr Mack said he and his wife Sandy moved to ‘Bokhara’ ten years ago where there was a mature garden with a lot of big trees. “With the help of Judy and Sue “’Horty Ladies’ and a lot of water, Sandy rejuvenated it and put in a watering system to make life a little easier,” Mr Mack said.

“She wanted an easy care garden that she could “shut the gate” and leave whenever she wanted to. I think she got past a demanding garden that she had at ‘Weemabah’.”
Mr Mack said he is not a knowledgable gardener, he is a lawn mower and tree lopper.
“I just try to keep it in some sort of order that I know she would want,” he said.
