The Trangie Ball Incorporated Committee president Alli Jenkins said they are thrilled to be able to host an event like this in Trangie and hope all guests look forward to the next one.
The Ball is not only an amazing night out, it’s also an opportunity to raise funds for the community of Trangie. This year’s beneficiaries include the Bogan Bush Mobile, Trangie Respite Centre and Diversional Therapy at Trangie MPHS.

Ms Jenkins said in response to the impact of drought, the Bogan Bush Mobile children’s service will run a workshop, open to all Trangie families and facilitated by author Petria King to give families strategies to combat the effects of drought.
During the workshop the Bush Mobile will provide childcare at the workshop in order to give families an opportunity to fully engage with the workshop and facilitators.
“The workshop will give families strategies and techniques that will assist them with combating the far reaching effects of the drought situation as well as mental health, isolation and the daily challenges young families face raising children,” Ms Jenkins said.
Ms Jenkins said the Trangie Respite Centre is another incredible project which will provide care, support and assistance to people in Trangie and surrounding areas. She said they are thrilled to have assisted in making this project a reality.
The diversional therapy team at Trangie MPHS delivers activities for all residents including craft, Zumba, visiting musical entertainers, and bingo. Ms Jenkins said funds from the ball will be donated and go toward continuing the program and incorporating the Challenge Group and Preschool to create better connections throughout the community.
“The Trangie Ball Committee can’t wait to announce what they have managed to raise for these extremely deserving groups,” Ms Jenkins said.
Ms Jenkins said the Ball wouldn’t be possible without the support of the community that helped make it all happen, with generous donations from Trangie Butchery, Hamilton's Pride Eggs, Brenno's Hotbake, great Trangie Locals donating eggs and helping clean up, Maureen and staff who run the bar, The Cocky's Wife Catering and Events team, the volunteer waitstaff and barbecue chefs for all the delicious food, Delta Ag for helping out, the Players Band who had everyone on the dance floor, a huge shout out to Jay from Logon Photography for his amazing photos that captured the night beautifully, and finally the great committee and friends who are there every year from start to finish.
