With plans well underway the group are now calling for a ground director and additional volunteers to run the weekly event.
Parkrun is a not-for-profit community event taking place every Saturday morning, all around the world.
The event encourages people of all abilities to take part in a free 5 kilometre timed run in a relaxed environment with the rest of their community.
The establishment committee have identified Narromine Wetlands as the ideal location for the 5 kilometre Parkrun.

Narromine Shire Council’s General Manager Jane Redden said Parkrun in Narromine could start in a matter of weeks, however as a community event help is much needed.
“Parkrun requires a community leader who can take the time to drive the event forward,” Ms Redden said.
“Without the additional community support this event will not get off the ground,” she said.
The establishment committee has been successful in securing sponsorship from a number of local businesses to help the event get off the ground including: Narromine Shire Council, Beat the Breakdown, Narromine Netball Club, Narromine RUFC Inc, Narromine Physiotherapy and Sports Injury Clinic, Narromine Car Club, Narromine Little Athletics, Narromine Jets RLFC, Boarding Schools Expo and Narromine Pharmacy.
Anyone interested in assisting for Parkrun should contact the Narromine Shire Council on 6889 9999 or email: mail@narromine.nsw.gov.au.
