Last Saturday some 19 players, six ladies and 13 men, turned up for the Gerries Saturday morning golf competition played in very pleasant conditions with the course in good order following the midweek rain. In the ladies competition the winner was Tracy McIntyre with a great score of 24 Stableford points.
A good round Tracy-enough to win bragging rights with husband Mal. Runner up was Marie Houghton with 22 points. The NTP went to Vicki Gainsford.
In the mens division the winner was Bruce Mitchell for the second week in a row, with 27 points. Mitchell was closely followed by Mal Richardson who returned 26 points. Malcolm Fraser won the NTP.The weekly NAGA prize was awarded over the field and the winner was Carole King.

There was no pool comp last week due to the fact there was no organiser in attendance.
Next Saturday, the ladies will play the front nine and the men the back nine with the hit off at the usual time of 9.00 am. See you all on the tee.

Bred and raced by Rodger and Nerida Atkinson from Yoeval, the seven year old gelding Dapperized took out the $32,000 QUBE Logistics Cotton Cup ( 1600 metres ) before a very good crowd at Warren on Sunday.

Tracking Hammoon Bridge ( Mathew Cahill, $4.60 equal favourite ) from the outset, Dapperized ( $7 ) eventually wore down the leader to win by a short neck with Steamin ( Kath Bell-Pitomac, $10 ) finishing third.
Earlier, the Brett Thompson, Gulgong trained Fairy Fragments ( $4.40 ) owned by Rodger and Nerida Atkinson and ridden by Greg Ryan had come from well back to win the 1400 metres Complete Asset Management Benchmark 58 Handicap.

At the corresponding Warren meeting in 2017 jockey Daniel Northey won on A Martin Place Pick, his last winner before suffering a broken pelvis in a barrier stalls accident and being on the sidelines for almost twelve months.
