The weather was good with some very good score recorded.
Eight ladies played their competition on the front nine.
The winner was Marj Kelly with a great score of 26 points, the best of the day from either ladies or men.
Well played Marj. runner up in the ladies was new member Carol McDonald who scored 22 points.
Really good to new players joining this Saturday morning group.
There was no winner in the Ladies NTP.
Thirteen men teed off the back nine for their event and here again some top scores were recorded.
Winner on the day was Bob Richardson with a score of 25 points.
Good to see Bob in the winners list again. No doubt the handicapper will have something to say to Bob before our next Game.
Runner up to Richardson was Norm Lewis who also had 25 points but he lost on a count-back.
Funny what a difference a week can make to some players Bruce Mitchell won the Men's NTP for the second week in a row.
The Pool comp was played last week and in a tight game Terry Willis and Chris Harding defeated Gus Smith and Norm Lewis in an exciting game.
It was really great in that there were no spectators giving cheek and advice.Lewis and Smith were convincingly defeated.
Next Saturday the girls will play the Back nine and the fellas on the front with the usual hit off time at 9am.
See you all on the tee.

Men’s Bowling
The Club Challenge Dominated proceedings at the weekend with some 24 Narromine Players Contesting three Divisions of this State wide event.
Our Gold Team lost their section via a count0back at Parkes to the Local Squad.
Our Silver Team acquitted themselves with almost distinction, with only a close loss to Dubbo City costing them a trip to the state finals.
Meanwhile at Home we had some 48 Bowlers over two sections competing for the right to represent our Zone in the Blue Division of this event.
At close of play Saturday our “RED” squad had annexed their section, but unfortunately our “GREY” Squad were relegated to second spot via the old “Margins” Rule.
So that just left one team still alive going into Sunday’s final and it all looked promising given the form this squad displayed on Saturday, but as they say in the classics tomorrows another day, and that what Sunday turned out to be for our Boys.
The final score showed Condobolin getting home two rink wins to one, to earn the Spot at Warilla next month and we wish them all the best.
To our “fella’s” good effort, maybe next year!!.
On a personal Note My thanks to Phil Harding, Geoff Anderson, Des Lincoln, Bruce Maher and Geoff Bohm for their Assistance with Marking over the two days, much appreciated.
Also to Dale McCafferty for the help with the greens Saturday & the after Game Snacks both Days, it all helps to the smooth running.
Our “New” Razerback Shirts looked the goods, and received a number of compliments at all venues and to that end I have to order some additional shirts in the next week or so and if any member would like to Purchase one of these shirts (only have five Left in Stock) best come and see me ASAP.
Our Annual presentation Day will be held on Sunday, December 9 and to that end a “FLYER” has been posted on the Club Notice Board.
All Championship winners are encouraged to be in attendance as there is nothing worse on Presentation Day than to be Handing out Trophies and Awards to “Fresh Air”.
Simile all members should make the effort to come along and acknowledge your champions for 2018. The agenda for the day will see a game of bowls in the morning, followed by a free BBQ Luncheon, with Presentation of awards to follow.
Social bowls this week saw some 20 players go round on Thursday with Des Lincoln and Aaron Clark being declared the day’s winner courtesy of a good win over Buttsy and the Brother in Law.
The runners up cheque along with the Jackpot went to Adam Jermyn and Terry McDonald who had the magic number of 14, the same number the old bingo machine coughed up, garnering them a nice bonus to the bottle of refreshment they collected for second spot.
Sunday Morning’s Chook run managed to attract just the six starters Bob Ashdown, Richard Hyde, Cliff Harris, Kevin Short, Peter Kelly and Robert Bateman, over 500 hundred years of experience there folks and still learning the game, well done “Lads”.
Well with the season winding down, but 2019 just around the corner the Program for next year has been circulated to all Clubs, which includes some Zone Championships in February and so to that end the nomination forms for these events are now out.
With Numbers restricted to just 16 Players or Teams at each venue it is advised that intending players don’t wait till the closing date to enter because I am confident that by then your preferred venue will be full up.
Well that’s it for me for this week, but with Christmas just around the corner, we should have some information regarding “MONSTAR” & “HAM” raffles next week, so stay tuned.

Racing
Paul Theobald was a happy man when he trained four winners, Born To Power, Rise Me Up, Red Marauder and Attilius at the recent Gosford Picnics however that feeling of elation was matched or even bettered when his battle hardened veteran galloper Dunderry scored a thrilling win at Bathurst on Saturday.
Back in January 2011, the Bathurst trained Dunderry made an inauspicious debut when last in a two year old race at Warwick Farm and at the next eigh starts ran a frustrating six seconds and two thirds for Paul Theobald and the fellow owners.
After a second placing to Be My Honey at Bedgerabong Picnics, Dunderry cracked it for the first win when ridden by Clare Pettigrew and beating Aphroditis and Lady Frere in a 1000 metres Maiden Handicap on a very heavy track at Orange.
At that stage Dunderry was playing second fiddle to stablemate Dragons Keep, a subsequent winner of a Central Districts “Horse Of The Year” title for Paul Theobald.
Now a ten year old, Dunderry has established a fine record of 13 wins and 29 placings from 107 starts and displayed admirable fighting qualities when repelling every challenge on Saturday in the 1200 metres Bathurst Toyota Benchmark 58 Handicap.
Dubbo jockey Ken Dunbar has recorded the majority of wins on Dunderry however was unavailable due to a suspension and Adrian Robinson took the reins.
Dunderry led for home and was then chased down the straight by Winterconi and after they hit the line there was a lengthy delay while the judge studied the photo finish.
Official margin was a nose in favour of Dunderry ( $9 ) over Winterconi ( Mathew Cahill, $3.60 ) with a half length to third placed Marbrouk ( Daniel Pitomac, $15 ).
Although placed numerous times, Dunderry had not won for over 30 starts the most recent wins being the ANZAC Day Sprint in 2016 at Bathurst when beating Infinite Bliss and All Sixes and the Bill Aspros Sprint ( 1200 metres ) at Bathurst in February 2016 when beating Bells Of War and Dream Empress, on both occasions with Ken Dunbar the jockey.
Winterconi went very close to beating Dunderry on Saturday however the Bathurst trainer Dean Mirfin did win the preceding race, the Bathurst RSL Club Class 2 Handicap ( 1100 metres ) with his smart mare Jetgirl.
Jetgirl ( Mathew Cahill,$1.40 favourite ) took the lead from Nino at the top of the straight and cruised home by over two lengths from Tennessee Pasha ( Adrian Robinson,$61 ) and Bounty Belle ( Brandon Griffiths,$13 ).
Raced by Wayne “Bronco” Lunn and trained at Dubbo by his brother Garry Lunn, Bemboka ( $4.80 ) under strong riding from Mathew Cahill, came from midfield to win the 2000 metres Kennards Hire Class 1 and Maiden Plate from Cadeyrn ( Brandon Griffiths, $4.40 ) and Cat Walk Queen ( Greg Ryan, $3.80 fav.)
Other winners were the Richard Freedman, Rosehill trained pair, Bennelong ( Greg Ryan, $2.30 fav.) and Delight ( Greg Ryan, $1.65 fav.) and Stato ( $21 ) ridden by Andrew Banks for Warwick Farm trainer Bruce Cross.
The TAB meeting at Dubbo on Tuesday to be followed by Cowra this Saturday.
