Alan Burns Oval fencing decision made

The community has decided on the new fencing at the Alan Burns Oval redevelopment.

In October the Narromine Shire Council conducted a survey asking for feedback in relation to the new fence to be installed following the current redevelopment taking place.

Through the online survey over 250 people cast their vote in regards to the new fencing selecting either a white picket fence or black chain mesh fence.

Narromine Shire Council’s General Manager Jane Redden said it was great to see so many members of the Trangie Community provide their feedback.

“The results were close, however with 50.6 percent of votes going towards the black chain mesh fence, the final decision was made,” Ms Redden said.

“The black chain mesh fence will complement the current oval redevelopment,” she said.

Works at Alan Burns Oval remain on schedule to be completed prior to the 2018/2019 football season.
