About 10.30am Wednesday morning police responded to an altercation between two families at Narromine local court.
Six people have been arrested in relation to offences such as affray, violent disorder and offensive behaviour.
The six people are currently in custody and are assisting police with enquiries.
It is believed a number of those arrested will face charges and appear before the court today or at a later date.
It is being alleged that no police or civilians were injured in relation to this matter, and no weapons were involved.
Orana Mid-Western Police Inspector Keith Ridley said police would not tolerate offensive and violent behaviour.
“Police won’t tolerate poor and disgraceful behaviour such as fighting in the street or in courts,” Inspector Ridley said.
“People will be arrested to be put before the court and prosecuted for such offences and behaviour.”
Narromine court was closed for a period of time while police dealt with the parties, but the court has since reopened.
Matters the parties had before the court have been adjourned to another date.
