It's been an amazing year for the Narromine shire and council has been proud to have had a major role in proceedings.
I have to thank the councillors who have contributed to make this such a positive year but principally I need to acknowledge the wonderful work of our staff.
Jane Redden has been absolutely inspirational and her leadership, her vision and integrity have been the catalyst for a very positive year.
So much has been achieved and the words of a former councillor from Tomingley who suggested that more had been done in the past two years than the previous eight was very warmly received and I thanked him for his words.
Staff from the senior managers to the new recruits have all contributed and the sense of achievement and expectation is obvious throughout.
Looking around our shire I can see the work being done and that already carried out.
It is a transformation that is due entirely to a very committed workforce and I thank them sincerely.
I want to wish all our residents a wonderful Christmas and a new year to remember for all the best reasons.
To all our volunteers, to the service groups who contribute their time and effort for the benefit of the locals, to the cops who get almost as big a bucketing as I do for their dedication and resilience and to all who make this such a wonderful part of the world my sincere thanks.
I Look forward to the new year with great anticipation and so much expectation.
We have so much to thankful for in our shire and i hope the vision and endeavour keeps coming.
All the best.
Craig
