Special guests for morning tea were the residents of Kurrajong Court, who added a festive note to the occasion with hearty renditions of some favourite Christmas carols.
Earlier in the year the Trangie branch nominated member Rhonda Richardson for the Phillip Group trophy for service to the Association and the community. The nomination was successful and this meeting provided an opportunity to present Rhonda with her trophy. In accepting the award Rhonda paid tribute to the many people who had helped her, “this is for everyone,” she said.
Rhonda has been a member of the Trangie CWA for almost 30 years and in that time has shown herself to be a tireless worker with a ‘can-do’ attitude that enables her to identify a need, find a solution and then a resolution. A truly deserving recipient of the Phillip Group Award. Congratulations Rhonda.
After what has been quite a busy year, Trangie members are now looking forward to some ‘time out’ before regrouping on February 14.
