The awards celebrate and recognise innovation, excellence and achievement in Aboriginal education in Western NSW public schools and communities.
NPS Teacher and Instructional Leader Kylie Hall has been recognised for her outstanding contribution to education as an Aboriginal staff member, while students Nash Edwards and Nyarley Kelly received recognition of their hard work with an encouragement award.
The school was also awarded the School and Community Partnership award for its innovative Connect ALL project which provided intensive individual and small group support for children effected by trauma, grief and separation.

This program was delivered as a partnership with Marathon Health, Network Specialist Centre, Vincent Fairfax Family Foundation and Narromine Public School.
Principal Densie King said these awards recognise the importance of education and celebrate the very real efforts and commitment the school makes to achieving this for all students.
