The Bogan Bush Mobile along with sponsorship from the Trangie Charity Ball and a Sydney mothers group have organised a series of workshops focusing on learning ways to build resilience and emotional intelligence in challenging circumstances.
Last year after hearing about the effects of the drought, a mothers group from Sydney hosted a fundraiser donating funds to support the work the Bogan Bush Mobile (BBM) provides to rural, remote and isolated children.
After discussions with rural families, the BBM team identified mental wellbeing as a reoccurring area of need.
Along with the funds donated from the Trangie Charity Ball committee, the BBM have organised world class speaker, teacher and facilitator Petrea King to host a series of workshops across communities visited by the BBM including Trangie, Nyngan and Collie.
The seminars will focus on learning ways to build resilience and emotional intelligence in challenging circumstances.
Petrea King is CEO of the Quest for Life Foundation which she established in 1989.
She is a well-known author, inspirational keynote speaker, teacher and facilitator. She is also qualified as a naturopath, herbalist, clinical hypnotherapist, yoga and meditation teacher.
The free seminar will be at the Trangie Racecourse on February 12 from 10am.
