Alicia Heffer from Breelong broke down in tears after David Koch revealed the amount of winnings.
Mrs Heffer said her and her family have been “overwhelmed” after taking home one of the show’s biggest giveaways.
“We’re just so overwhelmed, its not funny,” she said.
“We’re still in shock pinching ourselves. We just never thought this would have ever, happened to us in our lifetime.”
It was a lucky win for the mother of three who was blocked in at the service station in Gilgandra when the phone rang.
“I was actually at the servo ... I just sat there as someone had blocked me in so I was just in the car waiting for this ute to move and then the phone rang.”
“It was completely unexpected.”
“I honestly thought it was a telemarketing or prank call when I answered. There was silence and they asked if I was who I was, and then there was silence again, and I was thinking, ‘oh this is definitely a prank here’.
“Then I heard there was screaming and it was the cash cow and I just lost it, I was so emotional.”
Mrs Heffer and her husband have had a dream to buy their own home, and now have a chance to make that dream a reality.
“At the moment we’re still in shock, but we ultimately would love to buy a house,” she said.
“That’s been our long term goal since we first started dating, but its just never ever sort of happened for us.”
Mrs Heffer thanked Sunrise for the win, and the community for their support and kind words.
“We’re more overwhelmed by the support that people have shown us, and everyone’s kind words and everybody’s stopping us down the street to congratulate us,” she said.
“It’s more the town that’s made us so grateful.”
“The hubby’s back at work and I’m almost on my way to work now, so it’s just back to our normal routine and back to reality.”
