There have been no surveys asking the ratepayers/residents if they would love to have the Newell Highway interstate trucks going through their residential streets all day and night.

Especially when the road is owned by the local council.

Interstate trucks don't stop so what are the benefits?

And who will fund the roads?

All Narromine ratepayers.

Statistics say too many heavy vehicles confined to small residential roads are more likely to triple the chance of a fatal crash.

With that we have 200 more trucks going through Narrmoine a day.

What happens when one of these trucks run out of control into the school.

Where is the notification for people to have a say?

The bypass appears not to have advertised in the local paper, and you find little articles in the Dubbo paper.

I would like to know how far this council is going to destroy a peaceful town by allowing trucks to pass their four local schools.

Young children can't understand the effects of diesel fumes and will be exposed to a known carcinogen.

The safety of the children crossing the road with their teacher for sporting events is very dangerous.

Many are extremely concerned there is no pedestrian crossing for schools, sporting events and cross major roads.

I would like to know how a council cannot stand up for their ratepayers/residents that voted them in for the better of Narromine.

Why so quiet on the issue?

Why is this council not backing the bypass road for Dubbo which makes so much more sense?

How can a country town of Forbes and Parkes get bypasses.

It should have had one 20 years ago, and Dubbo council are in favour of this.

Is this council going to enforce the speed limit of 50km and 40km in school zones?

Are they going to let these trucks go through residential streets doing excess of posted speed limits?

Then slam on their compression breaking to giveaway in four to five different spots thorough town.

These roads are not built to take large volume, 50 tonne trucks.

These are secondary roads made for local, stock trucks and trucks going west or east.

After all this we have a council that doesn't want to support their own ratepayers/residents. Conveniently forgets Narromine residents vote for council members.
