A very big thank you to all who came along and supported our cause at the Bowling Club Trivia Night last week which raised almost $1500 to go into the coffers of the Narromine Hospital Ladies Auxiliary. The raffles were very popular and the baffler, along with the head and tails contest also provided the normal light-hearted moments, all-in-all another great night for a good cause.

UPCOMING EVENTS
Our social afternoon tea, planned for Monday, May 6, has borne a theme! "The way we were" is generating interest as "old" photos are being sought out and collected for the blind quiz (please get them to Daphne ASAP). More recently there's an invitation to bring along other items of interest from the 50s or 60s; where some are talking wedding photos, others (or one other!) is talking a birth certificate!
Hence, let it be noted that the Hospital Auxiliary offers something for all ages, in terms of helping to raise funds to better cater for those in our community who are hospitalised or who need medical assistance at home, and new members are always welcome.
Our first street stall will be on Friday, May 10, just in time for Mother's Day and we welcome any and all contributions of goodies, plants and craft - from anybody!
ABOUT THE AUXILIARY
Last year the Narromine Auxiliary spent more than $11,000 to purchase much needed items for the Narromine Hospital. Acting Narromine Health Service Manager, Cathy Staples said, "Narromine has 20 hardworking Auxiliary members, who assist the hospital with the essentials to allow quality provision of care for the patients".
The Auxiliary also participates in the delivery of Meal on Wheels and some of the members are also Pink Ladies.
