Despite the ladies finishing bottom of the ladder in the 2018 Group 11 competition, the Jets are hoping to fly high this weekend against last season's fifth-placed Macquarie Raiders at Cale Oval.
"It's looking pretty good, there's a lot of new girls we had to get which seems to happen each year in Narromine, but we've had good numbers at training and we've had a few trial games that the girls have turned up to," the captain-coach said.

Elwin said this year there is a number of younger girls who are already showing much promise for the season.
"There's a core group that keep turning up and there's some others that are really starting so show some interests as it's getting a bit later on.
However it's the team's half, Lakeisha Hull is one to watch this season, according to the captain-coach.
"[Hull] has played before she's really good so she will definitely be one to watch out for, but then there's a few other girls who are showing a lot of talent, despite being pretty new to it," Elwin said.
Despite being Elwin's first year as captain-coach for the girls, she said she has the support of former Jets coach Neville Attwater.
"I'm nervous," Elwin joked.
"It's fairly new to me but they needed someone who was willing to give it a crack and I thought why not, go for it.
"It's been good and the girls seem to respond well to having a female coach.
"And I've got my manager Neville Attwater as well who has coached a few years back, he's really good for them as well. It will be interesting to see how they go I think."
This weekend's round one clash against Macquarie is set to be an exciting one, but it's getting in and having a go which is key.
"Macquarie are quite a well gelled together team and a lot of those girls have played together for quite a while, so I'm just happy for my players to give it a crack and have a good time, and hopefully they show a little bit more competitiveness then we have in the past, but we'll see how we go," Elwin said.
