Dubbo's Dundullimal Homestead is hosting the 'Opera at Dundullimal' on Sunday, May 19 and is set to feature many classics from four opera singers. Gates open from 12:30pm and concert starting at 2pm. Book online at www.123tix.com.au
Wellington Show:
Wellington, May 18.
The annual return of the Wellington Show to the Wellington Showground, will feature a day-long slate of entertainment. Competitions across almost every category of agricultural skill can be entered at wellingtonshow.org.au and they day will be capped off with an immense fireworks display. Tickets are $5 for pensioners and children and $10 for adults.
Birth, Death and Enlightenment:
Wellington, May 18-19.
The Wellington Buddhist Centre will host a weekend long event to celebrate Buddha's Death, Rebirth and Enlightenment. All are welcome and entry is free for both days. The event begins 12pm on Saturday with lantern making classes, healing exercises and meditation. It will continue at noon on Sunday with origami classes and readings from the Sutra.
Fire and Rescue open their doors:
Narromine, May 18.
The Narromine station will be open from 10am to 2pm, as part of the Fire and Resuce NSW (FRNSW) open day, delivering a range of free activities including firefighting demonstrations, station tours and safety presentations.
Be a kid for a day:
Trangie, May 19.
Organised by the Trangie Action Group the the kids kite flying day is open for all to come make and decorate kites, then fly them around the Alan Burns Oval. At the end of the day, participants can then take home their kites to continue practising their flying skills. Come along from 1pm.
Gooree Cup Races:
Mudgee, May, 18.
One of the biggest events on the social calendar for the town of Mudgee is just around the corner. This year's Gooree Cup is being held at the Mudgee Race Club.
NRL match between Dragons v Knights:

The Glen Willow Regional Sports Stadium will host host a Round 10 NRL Telstra Premiership game between St George Illawarra Dragons and Newcastle Knights.
