The Titans let a 16-0 lead slip last weekend to fall to a 22-16 loss to Canterbury at Cbus Super Stadium, leaving them with a 2-8 record.

It's the Titans' worst start to an NRL campaign.

The review, which will look at the club's entire football department, will be overseen by club head of performance and culture Mal Meninga.

Head of football Phil Moss recently departed the Titans to join Cronulla, and the board have broadened Meninga's role to include oversight and control of the football department.

"The Board believes that on-field performances from the Titans over the first 10 rounds of the NRL premiership have not met the club's standards for success, nor the expectations of our members, supporters and corporate partners," a statement from the club read.

No time frame has been given for the review's recommendations to be delivered by.

The poor start to the season has increased speculation coach Garth Brennan may not see out the remaining season-and-a-half of his contract.

Speaking on Thursday morning, Brennan responded to co-owner Darryl Kelly telling the Courier-Mail that everyone at the club was on notice for the poor start to the season.

"It's the nature of the industry that I'm in, it's a results driven business ... that's the business that I have chosen to go into," Brennan told reporters.

"I don't lie awake worrying about my tenure or my job ... if I start worrying about that, then I lose focus on what I am trying to do and I want this club to be successful."

The Titans face Manly at Lottoland on Friday.
