Wellington, June 8 and 9
Over two days the Wellington Buddhist Centre will celebrate World Environment Day where visitors will be able to make their own potpourri, learn how to upcycle and will also go into an eco raffle draw. This free event will be held at 166 Arthur Street from 12pm to 4pm over both days.
CWA markets for breast cancer
Nyngan, June 8
The Nyngan CWA will be hold a market day this in Davidson Park from 9am. There will be lots of stalls with CWA manning a Devonshire tea and cake stall and white elephant stall. Other stalls for people to enjoy are essential oils, nutrimetics, honey and more. The Nyngan P&C will be operating a barbecue, Mr. Wimpy and a jumping castle will be there for the children. Proceeds for the day are going to National Breast Foundation for Breast Cancer Research.
National Indigenous Touch Football Knockout
Dubbo, Saturday, June 8 and 9
Hundreds of people are set to come to Dubbo at Apex Oval for the annual knockout, hosted by Quit B Fit and NSW Touch Football. There will be men's, women's and mixed teams, as well as a number of junior divisions.
Scarecrow stroll
Gulgong, June 8 and 9
The Gulgong Scarecrow stroll is on this Saturday and Sunday to coincide with the Henry Lawson Festival. Entry forms are available from McGregor Real Estate, Gulgong Timber and Hardware and online at the Gulgong Arts Council website www.gulgongarts.com.
Race meeting

The Wellington Race Club will host its first winter meeting on Thursday. Get your best outfits on for a great day out while you watch the thoroughbreds race.
Pop Up Markets
Dubbo Sunday, June 9
A range of stallholders will be set up on the grounds of Lazy River, from art to garden wears to clothing. Thousands attended last time they were held. It's a gold coin donation to enter the winter markets, which will run from 10am until 2pm.

Start off the June long weekend in style at the Nevertire Hotel who will have live entertainment by Mat Harris. The Nevertire Hotel has great food, a great atmosphere and very cold beer. Come for dinner from 6pm to 9pm seven days a week.
