RDA Orana chairman John Walkom is encouraging its business community to support the event which will feature an address by economist Jonathan Pain, creator of the Pain Report.

"RDA Orana are proud to be hosting an evening celebrating the businesses of the region," Mr Walkom said.

"There are some truly remarkable stories of business success in our wonderful region especially during the ongoing dry times over the past few years."

Mr Walkom said the dinner was a chance to network.

The State of the Region Dinner at Bellotti's Italian Dining in Cobra Street will follow the Orana Mining, Energy & Transport Industry Forum at Dubbo's Lazy River Estate on Old Dubbo Road.
