Far west CWA public speaking results

Sixteen schools from across the region have come together for the CWA Far Western Group public speaking event held in Narromine on May 28.

Together 45 primary students and 15 seniors students represented their schools at the USMC.

Years 3-4 : 1st Jane Bruce (St Mary's Warren), 2nd Eleanor Lovelock (Warren Central), Highly Commended Zalia Terry (Trangie Central), Ava Cummings (Nyngan Public), Hayley Hall (Warren Central).

Years 5-6: 1st Zamuel Berger (St Augustine's Narromine), 2nd Pranali Shukla (St Joseph's Nyngan), Highly Commended Cam Broughton (Trangie Central), Jessica Roberts (Narromine Christian), Jayden Smith (Hermidale Public), Charlotte Hopkins (Warren Central)

Years 7-8: 1st Bridie Hayden (Trangie Central), Katelyn O'Neill (Trangie Central), Highly Commended Angela Tang (Nyngan High), Caitlin Cran (Narromine High)

Years 9-10: 1st Jack Buchanan (Nyngan High), 2nd Shannon Bourke (Nyngan High) Highly Commended Nikeata McMaster (Trangie Central)

Years 11-12: 1st Elissa Simmons (Narromine High) Francis Sinclair (Narromine High) Ella Geyer (Narromine High) Highly Commended Abbey Buchanan (Nyngan High) Shakira Bock-Kemp (Trangie Central)

These students have been given new topics and will hopefully return to Narromine on Tuesday June 25 to compete against winners from CWA Central Western and Oxley Groups. Entries close Tuesday June 11.
