TAFE an online connection
TAFE NSW has moved to help address the shortage of skilled computer programming and information technology (IT) workers by introducing a new computer programming course. The Certificate IV in Programming will be offered in Dubbo and is a nationally recognised course that will provide students with skills in the most widely-used programming languages to develop mobile and other applications, designing user interfaces and writing and testing coding.
The NSW Government is committed to providing regional places like Dubbo with the opportunity to upskill on the latest industry trends and technology taught by experienced industry professionals.
Information technology skills are currently in demand and expected to be for some time, with the Regional Australia Institute suggesting a major shift in the role IT plays in many Australian jobs, with an expected 50% of employees by 2030 in roles requiring high-level programming, coding and software design skills..
