Officers attached to Central North Police District, with the assistance of the Public Order and Riot Squad and Traffic and Highway Patrol Command, policed the event and have praised the overall behaviour of race-goers.
"While crowd numbers were slightly down on last year's event, the lower numbers of police interventions and traffic concerns is testament to the planning and cooperation of the travelling public," Central North Police District Commander, Detective Superintendent Greg Moore said.
"We look forward to building on these results ensuring the smooth running of future Louth Race meetings.
"I take this opportunity to acknowledge the hard-working organising committee, the police and other emergency services and all involved in contributing to the worthwhile outback community event."
