As an organisation committed to child safety, the wellbeing and welfare of all children is at the forefront of the support CatholicCare provides.
"Our child safe strategies aim to ensure every child or young person we support can live safely where they have opportunities to develop physically, intellectually, and socially, to reach their full potential," CatholicCare Wilcannia-Forbes CEO, Ann-Marie Mioche said.
"It is obvious to say our children are our future, but we assist children, young people and families, to feel safe, respected and have confidence to participate as valued members of our communities."
To launch CatholicCare's Child Safe Commitment, the organisation will be hosting a series of community events including a morning tea in Narromine on September 5 at the CatholicCare Office at 12 Dandaloo Street from 10am - 11am.
"To raise children who thrive - we are here to help support families. In keeping with our Mission to empower, individuals, families and communities," Ms Mioche said.
The CEO also said they would be seeking community consultation on our child safe approach at these events.
