Australian rock legend Angry Anderson recently paid a visit to the central west as part of a speaking tour where he spoke about the importance of men in the family.

Angry visited Narromine, Wellington and Dubbo as part of the tour.
There were 47 people at the Narromine presentation, 67 in Dubbo and 64 at Wellington.
Not only did the community hear what the singer had to say on the topic, but they were also given a chance to ask him questions in a Q&A session after each presentation.
Angry said it was easy chatting with the locals.
"I find by the end of the presentation we've already established a comfortability. People have got to know me...," he said.
"What resonates with everybody is that life is hard and we've all been given, are being give and will be given, things that we don't anticipate that we have to deal with."

Angry said what he tries to tell both young and old is to not spend any time or energy whinging about the hardships of life.
"You've got to think beyond that. That is your life, there's certain things you can change about your life and there's certain things you can't.... what you can change is your reaction," he explained.
One of the other things Angry hopes people can take from his presentation was that it is never going to be easy and that everyone is equipped to deal with issues.
Speaking about his own life and hardships, Angry said he was never going to be a victim.
"From day one I instinctively knew you have to resist things," he said.
Angry spoke about his mother, who sadly passed away from dementia, and about how he drew strength from her.

"But as I said when talking about Mum, I was given an example to live by; the woman who just would not give up," he said.
"And not matter what life threw at her she survived it and was a better person for it."
Angry said it has been a wonderful experience coming out to the region, adding that he made a conscious decision to get back on the stage.
"Because in those few months after we lost Liam, I was gutted, I had nothing left, I thought I could never recover from this," he said.
"After a few months I thought 'no wait a minute that's giving in'.... that's not my style."
