About 3.21pm Wednesday afternoon, firefighters were called to a blaze at an Ellengerah Street address. It is believed the fires have started from shopping trolleys filled with paper and timber which caught alight.
Crews were then called to a fire which broke out near the riverbank at Rotary Park at about 4.51pm. They were assisted by the Rural Fire Service.
It is also alleged the fire had again been lit by a shopping trolley filled with paper and timber.
Police are currently investigating the fire and urge anyone with information to contact them.

Captain Jones said while there was no real damage, he has reminded people of the consequences of deliberately lit fires.
"Playing with fire is extremely dangerous, especially given what's been happening up at Tenterfield," he said.
"The last thing we need is a bushfire on our hands.
"I urge people to keep a look out for people lighting fires, and we ask parents to be a bit more mindful about where they're putting their matches and cigarette lighters.
"While there was no real damage from the fires, the potential's certainly there especially if we have a bit more wind or heat.
"Especially along the river bank there it got going pretty quick and the one up near the flats could have burned the building down."
