Get your backside trackside this October long weekend as the Mungey Picnic Races is on again.
With one of the few dirt racing tracks still left on the NSW country picnics racing scene, Mungery's bush atmosphere will be sure to keep all racing enthusiasts entertained throughout the day.
Set on the banks of the Bogan River 40 kilometres south west of Narromine, whether it's a passion for horse racing, a keen eye for fashion or just catching up with mates, this year promises to be one of the best yet.
For the punter there is a six race program, promising not to be lame, with the first race set to jump at 1pm.
Fashions on the field are back so there's incentive to dust off your frock and iron out your shirts for one of the racing highlights of the year.
A mid-race day auction will take place as well as the Mungery Dash for Cash sponsored by WIN TV.
Worried about the kids? Don't be, the children will have an entertainment area with jumping castle and other activities.
Worried about the hubby? Don't be, the NRL grand final will be live at the bar.
There will also be a full bar, public marquees, food and coffee vans.
And when all is done, dance the night away to live band Tall Poppy Syndrome.
A bus will also be available departing from the Narromine Hotel in Narromine at 11am.
The bus will return at 6pm from the Mungery Picnic races. Bus tickets are $20 and available from 123tix.
Gates open at 11am and tickets into the races are $20 available online from 123tix.
Heading to the races? We would love to see your photos!
