There were plenty of smiles on Tuesday when Narromine Public School students took part in the DreamCricket Gala Day.

The gala day was a chance for primary students with special needs to represent their schools.
The cricket activities were adapted for the students' individual skill levels.

Don Stephens from Dubbo West Rotary Club said the fun day was an opportunity for students to have time away from the classroom.
"To see the joy on those kids faces when they did simple tasks like getting a ball through a hole or catching a ball when it rebounded in the nets, those sort of things were worth all the effort and energy that went into organising the day," he said.
Mr Stephens said one of the highlights was when each participant was given a medallion.
There were more than 100 kids who took part in the day, from schools across the region like Dubbo and Wellington, and Mr Stephens said he was hoping it would reach 150 next year.
He invited schools in Trangie, Peak Hill and Tottenham to consider taking part.
About 25 volunteers from Dubbo West and Dubbo South Rotary clubs helped out on the day. Mr Stephens also thanked IGA for supplying apples and water.
