Ms Roberts, along with 78 women in NSW, have been recognised for their valuable volunteer roles and contribution to their local community.

The Honour Roll was introduced in 2010 and shines a spotlight on the accomplishments of female volunteers across rural and regional NSW.

Ms Roberts was nominated for her "phenomenal contribution" to the wellbeing of Narromine.

Ms Roberts moved back to Narromine in 2016 and has since then been a champion of sporting club development in the community.

She was the inaugural president of the Macquarie Yabbies Swimming Club, established in 2017 and ran its first season over 2017 and 2018.

She liaised with Swimming NSW and the Narromine Shire to establish the club, which had more than 100 members in its first season.

Ms Roberts also ran a seamless carnival with nearly 300 swimmers from across the region and also sits on the Western Region swimming committee.

Her nomination said she was integral to the process of bringing the worldwide phenomenon of Parkrun to the town, taking on the role as co-event director and sharing responsibility for running the free, weekly, timed event open to all community members, including managing volunteer rosters and processing results.

Ms Roberts has held the position of treasurer for the Little Athletics Club, and is the publicity officer for the Narromine Netball Club, while also umpiring in Dubbo, playing competitive grade netball and assisting in coaching her daughters' teams.

She recently established a committee to establish an annual triathlon event in Narromine, which has already gained approval from the council and hopes to attract participants of all ages and abilities to the town in early 2020.

"Kerry never seeks recognition for her efforts and works tirelessly and cheerfully to ensure that our small country community has access to as many sporting and recreation opportunities as possible," her nomination read.
