The winner will have his or her dreams of a career in hospitality come true - thanks to the $20,000 partnership from AHA NSW and the Blue Mountains International Hotel Management School (BMIHMS).

The $20,000 grant allows the lucky recipient to undertake a 2.5 year Bachelor of Business degree (International Hotel and Resorts Management) at BMIHMS.

Miss Wolstenholme along with Bailey Wootton from Blaxland, Isaac Foster from Maitland, Adeline Humphrey of Bywong were selected from more than 100 applicants.

Hopeful entrants from rural or regional NSW can already be working in the industry or just wanting to start out.

CEO John Whelan said AHA NSW are proud to give back to regional communities with this annual scholarship.

"We are proud to give back ... especially when many in the bush are doing it tough with the drought and bushfires," he said.

"Regional hotels are the backbone of their communities and this scholarship is just one way we acknowledge the important role staff play in our venues right across the state."

Mr Whelan said the scholarship really is a life changer for young people from the bush, with past winners from Wellington, Mittagong, Grenfell, Griffith, Forster, and the Illawarra.

The finalists were interviewed in Sydney recently and are invited to the AHA NSW Awards for Excellence ceremony on Tuesday, November 19 where the winner will be announced.
