Orana RFS district Superintendent Lyndon Wieland said thankfully there had been no significant fires in this district so far during this bushfire season.
However, due to such widespread devastation across NSW, people across the Orana region wanted to help.
"We're getting a lot of enquiries from the general public on how they can become a [RFS] member," he said.

"Normally we get one or two a week, but we're getting one or two a day now.
"People are seeing a lot of fire activity and they're wanting to help."
Supt Wieland said in his decades of firefighting experience he had never seen a bushfire season with such extreme fire activity and it had left many community members concerned.
The RFS has many different volunteering roles on offer - from firefighting on the frontline, to communications and catering.
"Everybody makes a good volunteer and there's a job for everyone in the RFS," Supt Wieland said.
"It could be the people getting food for the frontline firefighters to someone who works in the air as an air attack supervisor.

The Orana RFS district covers the Dubbo and Narromine local government areas.
