The catch up was a special one to celebrate the 80th birthday of former Narromine Fire Brigade Captain Robert Hawkins AFSM.
Mr Hawkins served as a firefighter for 40 years, alongside former deputy captain Bob Tresseder Narromine's longest serving member of 47 years, and former firefighter Dennis Jolliffe who served for 22 years.
Mr Jolliffe is currently a patient at the Narromine hospital. The past members decided it would be nice for the firefighters to meet up for a cuppa.
Current captain Ewen Jones drove the local firetruck to the hospital so the former firefighters could check it out.
