Orange has recorded a 10th case of coronavirus, while Cabonne's case numbers have jumped to five. Parkes local government area has also recorded its first case of COVID-19.
Monday's update confirmed the four cases across the Western NSW Local Health District.
The health district's total is now at 44.
Bathurst sits at nine and Dubbo at six, while the Mid-Western region (Mudgee) is sitting at four.
Coonamble has recorded two cases and Blayney has three, while Narromine, Parkes, Warren, Warrumbungle and Weddin all have a case each.
Eight people in the region have recovered from the virus.
Data from NSW Health shows that, as of 8pm on Sunday, there had been 2562 coronavirus tests conducted in the Western NSW Local Health District at a rate of 900 per 100,000 head of population.
Western NSW has been conducting tests at a greater rate per head of population than the Murrumbidgee and Greater West regions, but about half the rate as COVID-19 hotspots such as South Eastern Sydney and Northern Sydney.
Western NSW so far has just 15 positive results for every 100,000 population.
A spokesperson for the LHD said it is critical that everyone in all our local communities continue to practice social distancing to minimise the risk of the transmission of COVID-19.
"This is important for everyone, but particularly for older people and people with health conditions that make them more vulnerable," they said.
"It's also important that we protect our health care workers who we need to stay well to provide care to people who become sick with COVID-19."
The spokesperson said the best thing everyone can do at this point is to stay at home unless it is absolutely essential, and remember to:
- clean your hands thoroughly for at least 20 seconds with soap and water, or an alcohol-based hand rub
- cover your nose and mouth when coughing and sneezing with tissue or a flexed elbow
- avoid close contact with anyone with cold or flu-like symptoms
- stay home if you are sick
- keep your distance from others as much as possible through social distancing.
