The image of the smashed up Toyota Hilux on Dandaloo Street was shared around social media, calling for the "culprits to be punished".
A GoFund Me page was established on Tuesday morning to help the elderly owner of the Toyota Hilux pay for the repairs.
"Last night my pop's ute, beloved Billy Everingham, was broken into and damaged. Literally nothing of value inside, yet still left broken," Tiffany Jones, granddaughter and organiser of the GoFund Me page said.
"He heavily relies on his ute for specialist appointments as he has multiple sclerosis (MS) and needs regular treatment.
"Billy is well loved around town, always helping those in need and up for a yarn. So he's understandably heartbroken."
Ms Jones said due to her grandfather's illness and age, the ute was uninsured, and all repairs would be out of his own pocket. She said the quote to fix and replace the door would be up to $2000.
Ms Jones told the Daily Liberal they were also hoping to raise money for security cameras as this was the second time the ute had been targeted.
An image of the Narromine Coles entrance smashed up overnight, a few blocks from the damaged Hilux, was also shared in various crime groups on social media.
More information to come.
