Last Wednesday 14 players attended a Stableford event.
Our very busy treasurer Jeanette O’Brien was outright winner of this event with 40 points, winning both B Grade and the club trophy.
Joan Collins was A Grade winner with 39 points.
Optional ball winners: 1 Nancy Elrington 38 points; 2 Marie Bishop 38 points; 3 Bev Woods 38 points- Bev also won nearest the pin on the 17th and Betty Browning won on the ninth.
The drawn card was won by Barbara Tuck and Barb also won the raffle which was kindly donated by Annie Harmer.
A total of 35 members attended our break-up party at the Stockman Hotel restaurant where some trophies were handed out.
No need to guess who took home a huge mound of trophies, Vicki Gainsford.
None-the-less I would like to take this opportunity to wish everyone a safe and happy festive season and brilliant golfing in 2014.
Thought for the next three months: If a man has enough horse sense to treat his wife like a thoroughbred, she will never turn into an old nag.
