Between Friday April 11 and Sunday April 13 unknown persons have entered a property on Pineview Road, Narromine by forcing and causing damage to the entry gate. It is believed the person/s have trespassed onto this property in order to undertake illegal hunting. This is the third time this has occurred and Police believe the same person/s are responsible. Enquiries are continuing.

On the night of Saturday April 12 a resident of Narromine misplaced his wallet and iPhone after a night of festivities. On advising his financial institution of the loss of his banking cards he was advised that his card had been used in two separate transactions in the township of Narromine. Police are now investigating the fraud offences with CCTV capturing both transactions.

Between mid-March and early April 2014 unknown persons have forced entry to the canteen building with the Narromine Showground. Entry was gained by cutting out the roller-shutter locking mechanism in order to open the roller shutter. They have stolen a large amount of assorted soft drinks, bottled water and toilet paper. The offenders have urinated on boxes of paper hand towel before departing. The canteen is operated by the "Grey Mares" charity organisation and this theft and damage has caused significant distress to the ladies. About 9.30pm on Thursday April 10 two quad bikes were ridden at speed around the grounds of the Narromine Golf Course causing damage to the greens and fairways.

About 11.40am on Wednesday April 9 Police stopped a 40-year-old male driving a vehicle in Dulla Dulla Road, Narromine in the vicinity of Euromedah Road. Enquiries conducted on the driver and vehicle revealed the vehicle to be unregistered, uninsured and displaying unauthorised number plates. The driver had also failed to affix "P" plates to the vehicle in accordance with his provisional licence. He was issued infringement notices for the offences committed.

Located walking cane:
In February 2014 the item was handed to Police after being located on the roadway by a postal delivery worker doing his rounds. Police are seeking the owner to attend Narromine Police Station, properly identify the item and claim it. Police have exhausted enquiries to locate the owner. If it's not claimed Police will be disposing of the property.

Noise Complaints:
The Protection of the Environment Operations Act 1997 defines once the noise level interferes unreasonably with the comfort of another it can be deemed "offensive" and action can be taken. Police officers are deemed Authorised Officers under the Act along with Local Council Officers who also have powers to assist the public with noise complaints. Police will generally give a warning to the occupier of a premises to reduce and/or cease emitting offensive noise. If the noise does not cease or restarts causing Police to return to the premises, a Noise Abatement Direction can be applied for a period of up to 28 days. If a breach of this Direction occurs an Infringement Notice can be issued.

Alcohol-related violence and anti-social behaviour:
Police take the opportunity to remind the community to be respectful of nearby residents and others while leaving licensed premises. Recently, there have been a number of incidents where intoxicated persons have become involved in violent confrontations after leaving licensed premises at closing time. Further, complaints have been received from residents who live in the vicinity of such licensed premises who have been disturbed by this behaviour.
