The Little Big Dairy Company have been awarded a gold medal for their Less Cream milk at the Dairy Industry Association of Australia’s (DIAA) NSW Division.

The Chesworth family of Little Big Dairy Company were recognised for the efforts at the annual DIAA NSW Dairy Products Awards, and not only won gold for their less cream milk, but also took home silver medals for full cream, no cream and non-homogenised milks.
Factory Manager and director of the Little Big Dairy Company, Emma Elliott said “We are stoked to achieve gold and silver in our first 8 months of operation.”
“Since we started processing our own home grown milk last October, sourced exclusively from our own dairy herd on our family property in Dubbo, sales have been steadily increasing with a new stockists taking up the product almost every week,” Ms Elliott said.
The Chesworths are a family owned and operated business who run a herd of 800 Holsteins, all born and raised on their 240 hectares farm, situated on the Macquarie River at Rawsonville, west of Dubbo.
“Since we started processing our own home grown milk last October, sourced exclusively from our own dairy herd on our family property in Dubbo, sales have been steadily increasing with a new stockists taking up the product almost every week,” Ms Elliot said.
They are the first dairy processor in Australia to be certified as a Fairtrade flavoured milk producer, committed to the exclusive use of fairtrade cocoa, coffee, sugar and vanilla in the production of their flavoured milk range.
The milk is produced solely on their farm (single source) allowing the Chesworths to trace the product from start to finish.
“We know of no other dairy processor in Australia who can say they source all of their milk from a single dairy farm,” Ms Elliot said.
Little Big Dairy milk, flavoured milk and cream is sold throughout the Central West, including Trangie, Bathurst, Orange, Mudgee, Dubbo, Narromine, Molong and Wellington.
