I would like to acknowledge the fact that our club champion Vicki Gainsford travelled to Warren Veterans Tournament (with two nice gentlemen) last Thursday July 9. Unfortunately neither party came home bearing trophies.

We feel chuffed that they went representing our club. We would like all members to know Trangie Veterans Tournament will be held this coming Thursday July 24 and they would like as many members that are able, to attend.
Saturday July 12 saw a smaller field of 14 players (some had to take grandchildren to the Moscow Circus) attend the fourth round Monthly Medal.
A grade medal winner Judy Barlow with a brilliant score 64 nett.
B and C grade medal winner Maida O'Mally 72 nett winning on a count back from Wendy Jeffery and Marj Kelly both 72 nett.
First optional ball winner Sandy Mack 70 nett, second ball won by Wendy Jeffery 72 nett, winning on a count back from Marj Kelly, Valerie Edmunds and Heather Bootle all 72 nett.
Heather also won nearest pin on ninth.Vicki Gainsford nearest pin 17th. Drawn card won by Valerie Edmunds.
The Raffle was kindly donated by Jill McInnes and won by Judy Barlow.
Wednesday July 16 after heavy rain during the night and because only 8 players showed up the second round of the Burgess Cup had to be postponed to a later date yet to be decided.
A stableford event was played and Dale Harding won on a count back from Tracy McIntyre and Betty Browning all 29 points.
Betty won nearest the pin on the ninth and Heather Bootle won the 17th. Everyone else won a ball for showing up and playing in very heavy wet conditions with water laying on most greens. I don't think the other scores need to be revealed!
Tomorrow, Saturday 19, a Par event with Loyalty Robert's Trophy. Men's championships start first round, ladies don't forget to give them a wide berth.
Wednesday July 23, first round Bootle Browning 4BBB event, with drawn partners and opponents.
