Both teams had been undefeated before the clash.
From the viewpoint of the man with the whistle (first grade referee Mr Stacey Irvine), it was one of the fastest Under 13s games he'd experienced.
Mr Irvine praised the fast back-line defence and the broken-play running of the Orange City back row; nominated Alex Heap, Aiden Butcher, Harry Krueger, Jack Bell, Sam Green (particularly in defence) and Isaac Brown (top try-saving tackle) as Narromine players who certainly made constructive contributions; and both teams for their discipline, skills and preparedness to attack from anywhere on the paddock given the cards in hand.
Both teams are sure to re-meet in the semi-finals and probably the grand final: your correspondent can't wait.
