Mayoral elections will take place tonight at the Narromine Shire Council meeting with Cr Lambert putting his hand up as he says "it's time for change'' while Cr McAnally hopes to continue to work with other councils and the State Government.
Councillors can nominate themselves for the mayor or deputy mayor positions as long as they have one supporter on council.
As the position of mayor is being contested councillors will be required to vote for both a mayor and deputy mayor.
The Narromine News and Trangie Advocate asked the councillors whether they were planning on running for the positions or not.
